Description
We are the memories we make. The past is the one thing we can not undo. Similarly we don’t choose our families. These 2 components ultimately make us who we are. What do we inherit from our past and our family? Is it just that silver chain from a forgotten aunt or is it something much deeper? This workshop will look at how poets have answered these questions for themselves in the past. We will look closely and examine works by writers such as Malika Booker, Warsan Shire and others while responding to writing prompts and freewrites.
